Presentations at Vlotho Colloquium on Youth Work Research
This year’s Vlotho Colloquium on Youth Work Research and Theory will host a contribution of Dr. Sandra Biewers-Grimm and her colleague Anita Latz. The colloquium, that usually invites researchers to the premises of the educational centre Jugendhof Vlotho in Germany, will take place as an online event this time. During the workshop, the research team from the University of Luxembourg will present its on-going research on educational matters in non-formal settings.
Under the over-arching question “What is youth work?”, the colloquium has managed to get on board researchers and experts from all across the German-speaking and youth-related academia. The event will be held by Prof. Dr. Larissa von Schwanenflügel (Frankfurt University), Prof. Dr. Benedikt Sturzenhecker (Universität Hamburg) and Prof. Dr. Andreas Thimmel (TH Köln University of Applied Sciences).
In the Centre of Childhood and Youth Research (CCY), Sandra and Anita work together on the JUBI project. This is a mixed-methods study on the educational potential and the values of youth work from the perspective of young people in Luxembourg. As of February 1, 2021, Daniel Weis has joined the research group as third team member. The project will deliver results until the end of 2021. Click here to learn more about it (in German).
